A-B SURNAMES

Berry, John

John Berry, a well-known mining man, died suddenly at Whitehall yesterday morning.  Dispatches to friends in this city did not state the cause of death, simply saying he died suddenly.  Mr. Berry had resided in Butte and in Whitehall for the past 10 or 12 years and was well known.  He was 40 years of age and unmarried.  He had been working some property near the Mayflower.  At one time he was connected with the American Development company, which operated mines in Jefferson county.
