PARKER, Claude C.
age 30; Mrs. W. E. Parker, mother, Omaha, Neb.; served in 9th Co., 20th Engineers, (Forestry.) Fort Meyer, Va., one and one-half years in France; discharged June 1, 1919, at Camp Dodge, Iowa; sergeant. 20th Eng.. was the largest regiment in the world. It consisted of 145 companies, about 30,000 officers and men. Its purpose was to log off French forests and operate saw mills furnishing armies at the front with trench timbers and lumber.

C. 10th Co., Oahu, C. A. C., of Fort DeRussy, Honolulu; discharged Sept. 16, 1919, at Fort Monroe, Virginia; corporal. Re-enlisted Sept 17, 1919, for one year to take 11 month course in electricity at Coast Artillery School, Fort Monroe.

"In Memory Of" REEDY, Austin F.
22 years old, parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Reedy, Libby, Entered service from Libby in October, 1917. Served in Co. H. 163rd Inf., 41st Div. Service in Alsace-Lorane and Chateau-Thierry. Killed in action at Chateau-Thierry, July 31, 1918, by bullet from an enemy airplane machine gun, which struck him in the neck, and caused almost instant death. He had passed nearly his entire life in Libby, and was one of the town's most liked and highest esteemed young men. He was the first Libby boy to give his life in the service. Survived by five sisters, Mrs. Ed Hughes, Mrs. Fred McCrory and Mrs Julius Botcheck of Libby; Mrs. S. J. Champagne of Tacoma, and Mrs A, P. Hutton of Kellogg; and also by three brothers, James and John Reedy of Libby, and Michael Reedy of Kellogg, Idaho.

ROGERS, Ivan C.
Second Lieutenant, mother Mrs. A. B. Rogers, Hillyard, Wash. Left Libby with Montana National Guard men in April 1917 as corporal. Took part in two major engagements in France, and because of military ability shown in action was sent to officers' training camp in France, and later commissioned. Discharged in July, 1919.*

He took part in five major battles, was wounded once by machine gun bullet in leg, and gassed once. Received two citations for bravery under fire. Is still in service, stationed at a military camp in the East.*
