LEWIS A. VAWTER
DR. LEWIS A. VAWTER located at Boulder in 1893 after practicing for some time at Radersburg, where he applied for a certificate to practice in 1890. He was born in 1839 and graduated from the Indiana Eclectic College of Medicine, Indianapolis, in 1881. He practiced in the East for a while before moving to Radersburg. In spite of his unorthodox training, he was highly respected by his fellow physicians and made a successful career in Boulder, the county seat of Jefferson County. He was a member of the Montana Medical Association.
