Warrick, Montana about 1900

Written on the back of it by my grandmother Mary Sylvia Whitmore Walker and my mother Alta Walker Erickson is:

    This ranch is at Warrick Montana 30 miles from Big Sandy. This is Willie's cabin and the post office. They carried mail from Big Sandy. The picture was taken in 1902. Willie had been there 4 1/2 years.

Pictured left to right are: Lester Walker, age 23, (my mom, Alta's dad); Alonzo "Bud" Redfern, age 20; William Newt Whitmore, age 22 (John W. Whitmore's son); Ledger Landrum, age 20; Willie Wasson age 28. Willie was the brother of Louise Rosetta Wasson Walker.

Stamped on the back of the photo is "Chas. E. Morris Photographer Big Sandy, Mont."

William N. Whitmore, Willie Wasson and Lester Walker are all direct ancestors to Patricia Ditsworth and my husband, Jim Wilkerson. The men's families lived in Pleasant Grove, Des Moines County, IA.
