This is the homestead of my grandparents Carl Fredrick Dittmer and Martha Jane "Janie" White in Richland County, Montana,
Section 21/27/28, Township 26-N, Range 51-E. Carl was born in Sprague, Lancaster County, Nebraska December 30, 1889 and
Janie was born in Stone County, Missouri October 26, 1895. They were married in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska,
 February 5, 1913 and left for Montana to homestead sometime between their wedding date and August of 1913 when their first
child was born. I believe they may have first lived with another relative for a few years as Carl's land grant is dated October 29, 1917.
They homesteaded this land until about 1921 when they returned to Lancaster County, Nebraska.
