"Central School was built between 1911 and 1913. The west half of the sandstone building was built in 1911, the east half in 1913 as there was a need for a larger school. The school was used for all twelve grades until 1918. Then, for a long period of time, the school contained the elementary and junior high school, grades one through eight.
