This picture was taken around 1917, and shows the back of Adella (Brooks) Phillips in coveralls. The caption, written by Pearl May Phillips reads "Moma taking down the storm porch". Others in the picture include DeForest Oscar Phillips sitting on the edge of the porch, Pearl May Phillips in back, and Daisy (Ruth Histed) Phillips, adopted daughter, in white dress.
In 1986, my mother visited the old Phillips farm, and indicated in her notes "The original house burned down several years ago but was rebuilt on the same foundation"
