BARNES, ROBERTSON posted by Margaret McGourty-Merrill on Monday, March 8, 1999

Robertson family: Blanche and Tony homesteaded in the Kenilworth area. Tonys' brother, C.A. "Jack" was my grandfather. Their father, Ezra was born in 1876 in Herrick, Illinois. Their mother was Malinda Catherine Miller Robertson. Ezras' parents were Alec and Melly Robertson who lived in Herrick, Ill. as far as I know. Does anyone know members of this family who might know more about Alec and Melly? Ike Robertson was from Shelby Co., IL, his parents were Henry A. and Harriet Robertson. Ezra Allen Robertsons' parents were Ebenezer Alexander and Rebecca M.S. (Taylor) Robertson of Herrick, Shelby County, IL.

I am also looking for information about the family of Jesse and Kate Barnes who located in Big Sandy in 1916 and left about 1930.

Thanks. Margaret McGourty-Merrill, Idaho.

ROBARE, ROBERT posted by R W Porter on Saturday, June 5, 1999

I am looking for information on the ROBARE or ROBERT family. Henry ROBARE was a former fur trapper for the American Fur Company who married a Blackfoot Indian and lived Birch Creek next to the reservation in the late 1800's. The town of Robare was named for him. At least one of his children, but perhaps more, moved to Springfield Mass. to work in the factories there. His daughter in Springfield married into the RACETTE family. I would welcome any information on the family background of Henry or his wife and their children.

MCGRAW posted by Mary Brooks Gilmore on Wednesday, August 4, 1999

Alex McGRAW, his wife Carrie and two daughters lived near Chester, MT in 1913 - 1914, they also later had a ranch near Great Falls, MT. I know this because in my father's possessions are photos to my Grandmother saying "from son Alex and daughter-in-law Carrie and Granddaughters Rose & Violet, with those dates and places written on. When my Grandmother died in 1961 letters and telegrams to Alex McGraw came back undeliverable. My Father died May 7, 1999 and I know he always wished the contact had not been lost. Does anyone out there know of this Alex, Carrie, Rose or Violet McGraw? Where did they go, are there descendants? Thank you.
